I’ve always been a bit of a noob when it comes brow-beautifying. I grew up in the ‘your-eyebrows-should-be-nonexistent‘ era, which meant I plucked my thick natural brows into oblivion while studying pictures of Courtney Cox circa 1994. Now that the Cara D-inspired ‘the bushier the better’ era is upon us, I’ve seen the error of my ways and I’m growing my brows back in. Unfortunately, the years of torture are evident and the gaps are showing. Commence search on the world wide beauty web for an answer, and I came up trumps.
And yes I know, I’m a little late on this bandwagon, but Benefit’s Gimme Brow is the bomb.com. The brush-on fibre gel is perfect for filling in those wayward gaps and making my sparse-looking brows appear naturally full. I have to be careful in the brow-filling department as I have pale skin (thanks Dad) with dark hair, so if I go a little overboard with a product, Groucho Marx appears in the bathroom mirror. Gimme Brow suits me perfectly as it is build-able, I can brush it on little by little until I get the perfect coverage. Handy hint: to avoid any blobs of the product in your brows, just make sure you give the wand a good swipe against the product catcher as you take it out of the tube.
So count me a reformed brow-groomer. Although I do wonder what the future for eyebrow trends holds…
