Morning Skincare Routine

feat2

I’m a bit of a ‘Skincare Routine’ stalker. Whether it be scoping out my fellow beauty bloggers’ skincare posts, watching Youtube ‘routine’ vids or taking an unusually avid interest in my friends’ skincare collection (I’m not weird I promise), I’m always looking for new ideas or ways to shake up my routine or discover products that I might be missing out on. Is skincare FOMO a thing? At the moment the line-up includes some of all time favourites mixed with some new-in products that are getting the road-test treatment…

Cleanse: Alpha-H Balancing Cleanser
This stuff is addiction-forming, given how easy to use, gentle and effective it is. Perfect for a morning cleanse and has a well-earned spot on my Forever Repurchased skincare list. I’m currently using it in combination with my mini Foreo Luna on alternate days, to see if I can get it to play nice with my skin by using it less frequently.

Eye Cream: Clinique All About Eyes
I’m coming to the end of a sample of this from a previous Mecca Cosmetica Beauty Loop box, and I’ll be popping into a store soon to pick up a full size. So cooling, hydrating and soothing.

Treat: First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Blemish Control pads
A recent arrival after a sneaky Beauty Bay order, I’m giving these the old roadtest for an upcoming post (watch this space) in an attempt to evict some pesky spots that have taken up residence around my chin. So far, so good.

Hydrate: Antipodes Ananda Spray Toner
Another nominee on the holy grail list, I love spritzing this toner to follow on from any exfoliating or treatment I do, to calm everything down and inject some hydration back in.

Moisturise: Dr Lewinn’s Day Cream Moisturiser
An inclusion in the Sparkling Soiree blogger meet-up goodie bag, this moisturiser isn’t one that I would have normally bought for myself, but to my pleasant surprise I’m really enjoying it. Nice and light on the skin, absorbs really quickly and gives a matte finish, while keeping everything sufficiently hydrated.

That’s all folks! Stay tuned for (you guessed it) my current evening routine.

What skincare products are you currently loving? Let me know in the comments!

My god, I totally think skincare FOMO is thing because I too love checking out what other people are using/what I may be missing out on. Definitely a thing … ahaha. I just tried a sample of that Alpha H cleanser and I really like it so far. Looking forward to your post about the blemish control pads!

I too love reading skincare routines! I’ve heard such good things about that Alpha H cleanser. And that Clinique eye cream sounds great! I’m always on the hunt for a nice eye cream.

I’ve heard so many mixed reviews about the eye cream but I think mainly to do with the fact that it’s not the world’s best at reducing dark circles (although I haven’t really used an eye cream that has really done that effectively yet?!), but I just use it because it feels sooo good on my skin, great under makeup as well xx

I love it, highly recommend if you’re not needing anything that’s super effective at getting rid of dark circles etc, it’s more just cooling and hydrating xx

Ahaha, I have a FOMO of everything in general, so I’m pretty sure I have one for skincare too :P Great routine though, the blemish pads seem great, I’m loving their radiance ones atm! Ooh, I used up a sample of the Clinique eye cream too and I actually have another one waiting for me. I have fond memories of it haha!

The Radiance ones are excellent aren’t they! When I ran out of those I thought I’d try the blemish patrol and see how they compare xx
