The Morning Routine: Revamped

In light of the new players in my skincare regime and their general awesomeness, my morning routine has been revamped and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’ve already briefly introduced these two standouts, but I thought I’d go into a little more detail…

Alpha-H Triple Action Cleanser
Even if my skin is calling for a change, I still get a little apprehensive when introducing anything new to routine for fear of my skin throwing a tantrum. In saying that, I’m SO glad I took the plunge and swapped in this cleanser after finishing up the Balancing version. This subtly scented gel is easy to work into the skin, and a little goes a long way to provide a deep clean. I absolutely love the pump-packaging (until I get to the last quarter of the contents of course, but for the first three quarters it’s happy days). After a once-over with this cleanser, my skin feels refreshed and clean (not just clean, but clean), but without any of that awful dry or stripped feeling afterwards.

Bioderma Sensibio Light Toleridine Daily Soothing Cream*
I felt like something that deeply hydrates without leaving that ‘heavy’ feeling on my skin for hours was really missing from my routine. This moisturiser from Bioderma’s recently rebranded Sensibio (formerly Crealine) range looked like it could fit the bill nicely, and so far it’s really impressed me. My skin feels balanced, hydrated, soft to the touch, and makeup sits beautifully over the top. It’s been an ideal match for my combo skin type, but if you’re more of a dry-skinned gal, there is a Rich version of this cream, which I’ll definitely be sussing out when the colder months return.

How do you feel about adding new products into the mix? Do you stick to what you know or do you love to try new things? Let me know in the comments!

Definitely do, it’s great! Me too, I just have to be mindful to not throw different things at my skin all the time otherwise it freaks. Stupid temperamental skin! Hehe x

I love trying out new skincare bits and pieces but I always worry that my skin will revolt against me! That Alpha-H cleanser sounds great though!

I know, it’s a worry of mine, I do love trying new things but I find if I try too many new things too often, my skin freaks. Not pretty hehe. Loooving the Alpha-H :) x

It’s great isn’t it! I started out with Liquid Gold and haven’t looked back :)

I’m always adding new stuff, you never know what could be better! Although I do make sure I give them time to adjust! I really want to try the Alpha H now! xx

I seem to be okay if I do add something new and let my skin to get used to it, it’s when I’m trying something new every week/night that my skin tends to freak out! Alpha-H is excellent, highly recommend x

These two sound really good! That Triple Action cleanser sounds really gentle and lovely, it seems to be good for sensitive skin? Correct me if I’m wrong!

I’d probably opt for their Balancing cleanser if I had really sensitive skin, but the Triple Action is actually really lovely and gentle… I just needed something a bit more blemish-busting than the Balancing at the moment :)
