3 Step At Home Facial

3 Step Facial: themaquillage.com.au

I’ll let you in on a little not-so-secret secret: I LOVE getting a proper facial. You know the ones I mean, where it’s herbal tea, fluffy robes and facial steamers a go-go. They vie for the top spot on the “Things Angie Loves” list, competing against Mint Slices, long baths and waking up without a headache after a few Friday night vinos. But given a professional facial is not the cheapest thing in the world, I’ve devised my own little once-a-week facial regime including some of my all time skincare faves, so I can put those saved pennies towards something important like, I don’t know, a LORAC Pro Palette. Priorities, right?

Step 1 – Exfoliate: Ella Bache Enzymes de Fruits.
I was introduced to the magic brightening powers of this powder exfoliator during an Ella Bache facial, and I was extremely pleased when the clever peeps at EB developed an at-home version. The powder is mixed with a few drops of water to create a paste, massaged into the skin and left on as a mask for a few minutes. If your skin is more on the sensitive side, don’t make the mistake I occasionally make and leave it on longer than advised. It packs a punch. But when used properly, it’s easy to get addicted to the results – it’s all bright, smooth, glowing skin.

Step 2 – CleanseAesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque
Every chance I can, I sing this mask’s praises, and it enjoys holy grail status in my skincare stash. It’s been working overtime lately as I battle blemishes, as it’s excellent for bringing nasties up to the surface and evicting spots quickly. While it’s super effective, it’s also super gentle and never drying. Highly recommend for troublesome skin.

Step 3 – HydrateBioderma Sensibio Soothing Mask*:
Yep, I’m making my way through the new Sensibio range bit by bit and loving each product as much as the last. This rich cream mask is the last step after the rigors of all the brightening and gunk clearing that has gone on, working to re-balance and rehydrate, while calming any redness or inflammation. The results are incredibly soft and smooth, happy looking skin.

These 3 products sound awesome! I am keen to try the Origins Drink Up Overnight mask, but the Sensibio mask sounds like something similar that I might try too :)

Ah, I tried a sample of Drink Up of when I was thinking about buying it, but it really didn’t do much for me at all, I see/feel a lot more results with the Sensibio one so far :)

Everything sounds amazing! I’ve actually never gotten a professional facial done before! Maybe it’s one of the things I consider a bit more ‘grown up’ haha! I definitely want to get one though :3 I especially like the sound of the Ella Bache powder, I’m all for bright skin!

Hehe, I’d never had one until I was given a voucher for one as part of a 21st bday present, which although I loved it and got hooked on having them, it’s turned out to be much more expensive for me overall than it was for them to get me the voucher lol :) I really really love the Ella Bache powder, I don’t think I’ll ever be without it!

I just got my hands on this Aesop Mask and have used only once and I am impressed! So tempted to try the other two!
