So I’m 110% sure the blogosphere is utterly saturated with reviews of the Radiant Creamy Concealer, but hey, what’s one more going to hurt? Especially if you’re like me and you’ve been eyeing it off for a while, but haven’t yet taken the plunge. Well let me assure you dear readers, that if you do, you won’t be disappointed.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Medium Custard, $35
This has been a purchase a long time in the making. I originally set off to Mecca back in June with the full intention to snap one of these up, but ended up being sidetracked by the divine Touche Veloutee. I don’t regret that decision for a minute, but over the course of the year and the curse of tricky skin, it’s been harder and harder to disguise pigmentation resulting from dastardly acne as well as I’d like to. Cue a visit to Mecca for a complimentary makeup application courtesy of a Beauty Loop birthday gift, where I basically pleaded to the lovely gal who did my makeup to vanquish my pigmentation as a birthday favour to me. And low and behold, she whipped out the Radiant Creamy Concealer.
The texture is on the thicker side, and is indeed creamy. On the day it was dabbed under my eyes to cover my dark circles and on top of my already applied foundation where the problem spots were, and dabbed and blended in with a sponge. At home I’ve been using a mixture of my Real Techniques Complexion Miracle sponge to apply under my eyes, and my fingers to blend in over pigmentation, as I find the warmth of my skin makes the concealer easier to work with and blend in seamlessly.
The lasting power of this concealer is excellent, especially when set with powder over the top. It’s equally magical at disguising dark circles, redness and blemishes – and it doesn’t cause any dreaded creasing under my eyes. YAY.
Overall, I love. If you’re in the market for a new do-all concealer, I highly HIGHLY recommend. It’s available instore at Mecca Cosmetica/Maxima and online.
